Residential Standard Installation
The installation of
your DirecTV® or Dish Network® System typically includes:
Mounting of your
satellite dish on an outside wall or roof with the necessary hardware,
within 125 ft. cable length of your TV.
A certified installer
will ensure placement of the satellite dish antenna for optimal
reception and use high-quality cables, wires, and connectors.
Up to 125 ft. of
RG-6 cable or up to 250 ft. for dual tuner receivers that require two
cables
Routing of all
cables to one TV (multiple TVs with purchase of multiple receivers
installation) either through an exterior wall (frame or one layer of
masonry) or from your basement and connection to an existing phone
jack within 25 ft. (connection to a phone line is required for DirecTV
System activation; if multiple receivers installation, all receivers must
be hooked to the same phone line)
Connection to your
TV and VCR, if collocated, and activation of DirecTV programming
Installation includes
proper grounding of the system, activation, and testing the system.

Custom
Installation
is available at an additional charge. Custom installation typically
includes:
Additional RG-6
cable over 125 ft. or over 250 ft. for dual tuner receivers (TiVo
for example) that require two cables
Routing cables
through more than one wall or wall fish
Installation of
phone line, if necessary or wiring of phone jack in excess of 25
ft.; providing enhancements to your phone line.
Hookups to stereo
and/or various components (not including VCR)
Installation of
multi-switch, or hookups to more than one additional outlet.
